I am an active member (Member #74790) of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and I abide their ethical codes.
My approach to therapy is based on a framework called systems theory.
What is systems theory? It is a philosophy of therapy that looks at how problems may be connected and/or maintained by the set of relationships in which a person exists.
I also draw on ideas from Liberation Psychology which considers how societal and community contexts may have an influence on mental health.
I use a variety of techniques in therapy aimed at trying to find what will work best for you.
